I have 80% in class 10th and 75% in class 12th from up board. are my academics too low for iim A/B/C?

Afreen Anjum Student Expert 24th Feb, 2021

Hii..

There is no such type of restrictions for 10th and 12th but academics  play a very important role in your selection especially for top 5 IIMs they give weightage to academics score. So it is very important that you should have minimum 80% then only you can expect calls from A/B/C.

Academics, work experience, extra curricular activities, any other achievement also keeps important role in your selection.

I failed in additional subject (physics) in class 12 but overall passed in class 12. so if I can crack CAT exam, then I get admission in IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and rest of the IIMs? I am a 2nd year graduation student. Is there any chance to get admission in that IIMs though I have that result?

Abhishek Roy 13th Feb, 2021

No, I dont believe it will be an issue since you have an Overall Pass Certificate and a Respective Percetage. However, assuming you are from General Category having an average Academic record you should Work hard for CAT and target securing above 99-100 and above to have fair chances for IIMs as well as Other Top Management Institutes.
