Hi Rahul,

Definitely you can get into any top - bschool for mba in india if you score good in cat. Also since you haven't mentioned your graduation score therefore i cannot say whether you'll be able to get profile based call or not. But your 10th marks are good.

But for the past 2 years, they have been considering sectional weightage for CAT composite score. And that's not it. Your eligibility depends on how you will perform in CAT examination.If you want to go to IIMs then you will have to score more then 99 percentile.Though your marks in 10th in good but your 12th marks is average though you will also have to be graduated to appear

Although having a Work Experience isn't necessary to be elligible to procure a seat in IIM, but if you do have any Work Experience then your chances of getting a seat is improved because, for an overall selection in an IIM, there's a slight weightage given to

Dear Rahul, there are 20 IIMs in India. And all the 20 IIMs have their own Selection Criteria.Now your 10th, 12th and Graduation marks carry a weightage of 5-7.5% depending on the IIM you are interested in. Few IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Lucknow, etc conduct Written Ability

Hello Rahul,

We understand your concern. Please note that to some extent yes, the wightage of class 12 does apply to an admission to an iim, but do note that class 10 marks dont really matter as long as you have cleared it. You can also contact the college directly

While registering yourself for CAT exam you will find 3 options as:-

1.New candidate registration 

2.Registered candidate login

3.Registration for non-iim institutions 

So, it is pretty clear that if any candidate wishes to apply for both iim as well as non-iim institutions then they are required to register
