Study, Study and Study. No not that much. As you are in 1st year of your BBA program then it is good that you have already made up your mind. Just go through the CAT Syllabus and collect all the materials and give atleast 2-3 hours daily for the prepration.

Im graduate in b.com (p) from SOL DU with 55% so Im eligible for CAT Exam or IIM ?

Sriya Bose Student Expert 6th Aug, 2019
Hello Aspirant!

I am mentioning two of the few eligibility criteria for appearing in the CAT exam:
  • Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA to appear in CAT exam entrance exam 2019. They must have completed their graduation by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

  • Those candidates will also be eligible to appear for CAT exam 2019 who possess an equivalent qualification that has been accorded recognition by Ministry of Human Resource Development.
As you are fulfilling both the above criteria, you are eligible to appear in CAT.
The eligibilty criteria for IIM is also the same. So you are eligible for IIM too.

My 10th marks is 7.8cgpa, 12th 54% and graduation 73.25%. Should I try for iim by giving cat

Navneet sharma 6th Aug, 2019

I think you may apply for IIM. Yes, I know that your mark and score are not good  but give a try doing  best what can and show the world you are much capable to others that feeling is felt really good and the percentile of IIM or giving CAT also help in so many places like if you may not select but have pretty good score then the company also see interest in you. So .give try.

My 10 ,12 and graduation percentage are 59/75/59 and i am OBC-NCL. What are my chances of getting IIMs ?

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 6th Aug, 2019
Hello Aspirant,

As per the information provided by you, your 10th , 12th and graduation percentage are not enough to get you into IIMs.  You can get into IIM only if you get 99+ percentile clearing the sectional cut offs and perform spectacularly in GDPI or WAT.  Although you can get a call from new IIMs if you get good percentile in CAT. So don't think a lot and focus on CAT.. I am sure you'll make up to some good bschool of India.
