Indian Institute of Management
hey!
No matter what you need to score about 99 percentile to get a good IIM.
As, you have a very good GPA, you will be able to have an edge over students who may have a lower GPA
And, they also consider factors like which background you have done your undergraduate in.
Dear candidate,
You are going very good with your academics currently.
Maintain a CG of 8.5+ (If Tier-1 and Tier-2 colleges) and 9+ (If other colleges) throughout your graduation, and you will get through (Assuming you score very good in CAT and XAT etc). Also, try to take part in lot of extra-curriculars and all, it will help you, when you will be doing your MBA.
Anyhow, it's too soon to think about IIMA and XLRI now, just focus on your B.Tech first, try to score good there. Worry about these things in your final/prefinal year.
Hope I answer your question and it's helpful.
All the best.
Hello
For pursuing management studies from one of the IIMs, the most important factor for consideration is the IIM Cutoff
Usually it is around 90% but this year IIM ahmedabad had takenstudents with even 85-80percentile based on a few selections for their PGP . The shortlisted candidates are called for the selection rounds which usually include a Writing Ability Test (WAT), Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion(GD). Apart from this, some other parameters are also considered such as Work Experience, Past Academic Records, Diversity, etc. to prepare the final merit list for admissions.
