Sir/Madam, I got 9.5gpa in 10th, and 90.6 percentage in (11&12) intermediate. How much percentile should have get to get into any of the iim

Shivam bhardwaj Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019
Hello Satya,
You have enough marks in 12th that will make you eligible for IIM's. But according to the IIM admission criteria 2019-21, candidates appearing for CAT 2018 must have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50 per cent marks (for General category) and 45%(for SC, ST and PWD category) or equivalent CGPA from any recognised university.
As you see, marks in graduation are more important for admission in IIM and marks in CAT exam as well.
Good luck

My 10th-70% ;12th-54% ; bcom- 71%...SC candidate How much percentile will be needed in CAT for IIM?

adyasamohanty611_9299468 Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019

Hi Aspirant

Your question is a little ambiguous as you have not mentioned some of the details so I cannot seem to understand what information you are exactly trying to look for.

You have not specified the particular IIM and since every IIM has different cutoff answering this question is impossible.

Moreover you have also not mentioned whether you have any previous job experience.

Mention these details in the comments section below and I will try to help you out.

What are the eligibility for admission in iim does they ask for 12th marks

nimrat17799_9532496 Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019
Hello,

Let me tell you that to get admission in the top IIMs and i. Top b. Schools you want hogh percenage in your high school and intermediate.... You want 85-95% in high school and 90%+ in your intermediate... Moreover, if you have less than 85% in your higj school and intermediate, then it is to be assumed that you have to score 99% in your CAT exam....

So, 10th and 13th percentave is must to get admission in any good IIMs or b schools...

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Which one is best govt job or MBA in IIM?

mansiprofessional234 Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019

Hey !

It totally depends upon your interest. After MBA from top colleges  like IIM ,you will be placed in a private sector job with a handsome salary  package of 10-12 lakhs with some perks. And the salary of government jobs can range from 20000 to 2 lakhs per monnth. But government job has their own perks like LTC , transport allowance , TADA  etc. You can not compare the perks of these two jobs as  government jobs have high perks.

But which one , you should choose , that should totally depend upin you.

Can I do Mba from IIM after completing my Mtech?

Ramsha_1482736792 Student Expert 26th Jul, 2019
Hello aspirant,
Yes, ofcourse you can do mba from iim after doing mtech.
The main requirement for a person to do mba be it from iim ir any other institute or from even abroad, is to have completed graduation.
Graduates can only apply for mba, unless they are in integrated programme.
You can do mba after btech, bsc, phd.
All the best.

My class 10 percent is 83.4 and class 12 it is 82. If i score good percentile in CAT, then will i get call from IIM ?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Jul, 2019
Hello,

You marks is good but when we talk about getting a call from IIMs you should know that all they want is best.Getting a good percentile is must but academics also matter when you will go for other procedure after CAT.Though your marks can be considered but stoll you will have to do or be something extraordinary to cover up the marks issue because there are lots if candidate who get 99%ile and above and also have a special academic background and with them in race if might get left behind so first try to get good .%ile and then prepare well for GDPIs.

I hope this helps

What is the minimum percentile required to get into any iim from general categoty?

ym.matlani_6504227 Student Expert 23rd Jul, 2019

dear candidate,

on the basis of percentile, at most you can get call from IIM but admission happens after gd-pi round only. also it depends on your course. Because even now, most of the student body at IIMs consist of engineers, to make the selection process fairer they have come up with the concept of academic and gender diversity. Some even allot extra marks for different courses, and all that is uploaded on their website. anything north of 90-92 percentile can get you call from baby IIM.

Sir if a student have 69% in 12 the and if he is having 99 percentile in Cat .th n he or sheis eligible for iim . I

deepeshmalhotra3101_9482575 Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2019

Dear aspirant,

12 th marks are considered in calculating the total score of an individual. You get points based on your 12 th score. Considering your 12 th score you will get hardly 2-4 points out of 10. The total score depends on various factors starting from 12 th mark, cat score, interview and all. After the total score it is decided whether the candidate will get a call from iim or not.

Hope this will help you..!!

I am a physical handicapped person in learning disability how much percentile i have to score to get into top 3 IIMs?

nehaojha000_7965830 Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2019

Hii Divesh

IIM's have 3% of its seat reserved for a Differently abled person, and the percentile cutoff depends on the number of students through that DAP quota

But on a rough idea the cutoffs of the top IIMs for DAP  last year were some were about 60-65 percentile

Thank you
