Hi Nitesh,
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on getting such a decent percentile. You have done hard wok throughout the year and this has reflected in your percentile. I addition to that, you have an awesome profile. Being a B-School student, I have seen placement processes where profiles similar to yours are getting shortlisted for interviews for summer placements and final placements. The fact that you got 90+ percentage in both class 10 and 12 would be like icing on the cake where your perfect work experience will pull up your CV. So you won’t be having any kind of problem if you keep your pointers good in academics during your MBA, though it doesn’t matter much.

Getting into IIMs has always been competitive however that has been the case for the general PG course which is based on CAT scores and subsequent WAT and PI. However in recent times IIMs have realized that specialization is the need of the hour. This is result of diverse adoption of technology expertise across industries which has led to tech knowledge becoming the primary driver of performance. What this has led the IIMs to do is partner up with academic partners to develop specialized courses specific to industries. For example, the IIM analytics courses (https://mileseducation.com/analytics/home) by IIM Lucknow are developed together with Wiley innovation council and IIM faculty. Further these courses are customized for business leaders who have the IIM business and data analytics course (https://mileseducation.com/analytics/IIM-Lucknow) while there is another custom Analytics course for finance and accounting professionals (https://mileseducation.com/finance/IIM-Lucknow-Analytics) . Since these courses are exclusively designed for an industry, the enrollments do not see the generic competition based on CAT scores. You can check your eligibility (https://mileseducation.com/analytics/home) and apply for enrollment.
Interestingly these courses give you the IIM Lucknow alumni status as well.
All the best.

Hello,
The cutoff in IIM Ranchi for the course PGDHRM goes 90 above.
Sectional cutoff required is 70 each. so s fresher you should atleast have 92+ scores in CAT then you would be easily able to make it, given that you perform good in the interview and in the GD. Also your stats for the 10th and +2 +3 are quite good, which would contribute quite a lot in the final selections.
hope this helps you !
all the best !
In 2017, the cutoff for general category was 96+ percentile. In addition to that, you also need to clear sectional cutoffs for each section( Quant, LRDI, Verbal). But this might vary slightly year on year basis.
On top of this, your profile (10th, 12th, graduation, stream, work-ex and gender) and WAT-PI score also has certain weightage.
All the best !
Hello Moni,
The eligibility criteria for getting into IIMs is CAT exam. The MAT exam is not accepted by the IIMs.
So getting a good percentile in CAT only will get you a call from IIM.
