can do bsc in both physics honours & chemistry honours at same time in IISC Banglore?

Koyel Bagchi 3rd Sep, 2021

Hello,

Yes you can take a double major in chemistry and Physics but will not be able to complete it 4 years, need 5 years,  since you will have to do two separate projects leading to two bachelor's thesis, one in chemistry and  the other in physics. However, unless you can copy  yourself, time warp make yourself speedy , it will be practically impossible to take a chemistry , physics double major off. Basically struggle is real to complete only one with the coursework and the project.

Hope for the best.

Thank you.

Hello,

You can pursue M.Sc. Biological Science from IITs and IISC but you must also appear for Biotechnology, because there are more seats in IITs for Biotechnology, and no seat for Biological Sciences in IITs. You will only get admitted to NIT Rourkela or IISc with Biological Sciences.

I hope this helps.

Supriya Omi 25th Aug, 2021
Hello there!
The comparison is tough as both IITs and IISC give real good scope for research and higher learning.
Although people generally move towards IISC as its the hub for researchers and research.
Although entry to these institutions is via IIT-JAM and post counseling only one can know if they are getting into IIT or IISC.
So prepare well.

what is the minimum jee mains 2021 percentile required under general category to get seat in IISC banglore

Supriya Omi 19th Aug, 2021
Hello there!
For getting into IISC, one need to have a score of 295 and above for general category.
This score can increase or decrease depending upon the number of candidates that appear for the exam, number of counseling registrations and also on the degree of hardness of the question paper.
You can use the college predictor too-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna
So hope for the best.
Good Luck!
