I wrote my 12 th exam in 2020 and now I am planning to repeat neet can I apply for IISc with 2021 NEET score or what other institutes can I apply to for science research type especially neuroscience? or how to go about doing neuroscience courses after MBBS?

Pragya sarwaiya 26th Nov, 2020
Hi
If you are interested in studying neuroscience after 12th then you should opt for Bsc in neuroscience.
There are many institutions which offer bsc in neuroscience, some of them are-
IIT Gandhinagar
Jiwaji University, Gwalior
Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore.
Madras University offers an MSc in Neuroscience, Chennai.
National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Haryana.
NIMHANS, Bangalore.
If you wish to pursue neuroscience after taking admission in MBBS then you can do so after your graduation. For this you have to clear NEET to take further steps.
Many foreign countries offer research options for the students who are interested in neuroscience.
Neuroscience is a vast and intersting subject and it has a great scope in future.
Best of luck

if anyone does msc biotechnology from any iit or iisc will they get stipend too?

Shrishty sahu 25th Nov, 2020
Dear student,
Definitely the msc biotechnology students get a stipend at iisc and iit's. Courses like MSC., M.Com and MBA receive Rs 10,000 per month as stipend. The M. Tech degree holders, on the other hands, are awarded a stipend Rs 2000 more in the iit's.
You can visit this link for more info on fee structure and stipend at iisc:

What is the difference between IIT and IISc? Which is better?

Pakshal Ghiya 23rd Nov, 2020

IISc is generally considered to be a better research institute than any the IITs by most engineering graduates.

However the bachelor's degree at the top IITs beats out it's corresponding course at IISc. From a purely financial stand point, the IITs are a better bet for students to become financially secure.

IISc was set up to promote science and research and it has been able to produce the goods just as well.

With JEE main and advanced rank, can I get admission in Indian institute of science Bangalore?

Abhishek Roy 22nd Nov, 2020

Yeah you can, perhaps assuming you are from General Category, you need atleast AIR 500 in either of JEE Mains or JEE Advanced to secure a seat in IISc Bangalore's B.S. Course, which again is very unpredictable. I believe a better option would be Qualifying KVPY SA or SX and accordingly secure admission at IISc Bangalore. The competition in KVPY is way lesser, though the main issue would be completion of syllabus at the time KVPY is conducted. Most of the Students yet dont complete their respective Class 11 or 12 Syllabus, but again there lies the challenge, and you even get a couple of chances. Even if you flunk in Class 11, you can reappear in KVPY in Class 12.

please suggest the colleges in which one get seat in mbbs either in government or private colleges under A-category with 472 marks in bc-b in Andhrapradesh......

Anurag Khanna 8th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as Andhra Pradesh according to your profile.

According to the marks and category mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 71349 - 83499. So on such marks and rank you have good chances of getting both government as well as private college in Andhra Pradesh under Home state quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 449 for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Srikakulam (Government)under Home state quota for OBC category and 412 for Maharaja Inst. of Medical Sciences, Vizianagaram under Home state quota for OBC category.

You can check out previous year's cut-offs for Andhra Pradesh from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-ap

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

On filling the Iisc registeration form for 12thclass instead of 95 % ,by mistake i filled 10 CPG,Can i correct that .

anshika.verma2019 16th Nov, 2020

Respected ma'am,

Although 10 CGPA is considered equivalent to 95% only and I don't think much trouble would be caused. Still in the case you mentioned above you can write a mail or make a call to the responsible authorities and get the error rectified. This the link where you can find the contact information of administrative authorities - https://www.iisc.ac.in/about/administration/administrative-units (https://www.iisc.ac.in/about/administration/administrative-units/) and the contact number is - +91 80 2293 2228

Also, you can login into the site and check if the option for editing the form is available or not.

Else if, time and situation permits please try to re- register your child (if possible delete the previous registration).

Hope this helps

Can anyone tell me after declaration of result in which time period iisc banglore send the call letter for interview based upon IIT JAM 2020?

anirudha vats 15th Nov, 2020

Hi,

Well you can expect a call for interview or further rounds after declaration of results within two to three weeks after results. Sometimes it can take more than that but most probably the students are called within that time frame for interview and further admission process.
