Can I get iisc seat based on only puc marks

I'm sorry to say just by 12th marks ou can't get in admission in IISC as you need to writw exams like KVPY ,JEE MAIN OR NEET FOR MEDICAL , while KVPY exam has been conducted.so you have these many ways.

What and how many ways are there to get seat in iisc after 2pu

Hi, 

there are many ways to get into iisc after 2 PU. You have to give a couple of entrance exams. Them being JEE main and Advanced, JAM, GATE, NEET scores. Also there is one more exam which is KVPY . if you qualify in kVPY you can get to iisc.

KVPY-SA [appeared in 2016 and selected for the Fellowship]

KVPY-SB [appeared in 2017 and selected for the Fellowship]

(IIT)JEE-Main: Appearing in 2018 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)

(IIT)JEE-Advanced: Appearing in 2018 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)

NEET-UG: Appearing in 2018 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD).

I want to get seat in iisc through jee main so how much marks I should get

hello siva prasad,

the cut-off for the jee main to get the admission in iisc will be changes with different categories and years.the following are qualifying marks for below categories,

  • general - 290
  • obc-230
  • sc-200
  • st-108
  • kashmiri migrants-200

you've to score 60% of percentage to get qualifying in jee mains for general category,54% for OBC-NCL,30% for SC/ST/PWD.

yes,you should apply online only.the admissions will be based on the jee mains/advanced and also through KVPY channel.

If i passed my 12th in 2017 ....am i eligible for this college this year

Hi Prasad,

You can apply for the admission as there was no academic year specified in the eligibility criteria. An applicant must have successfully completed 10+2 year or its equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects.

If you are seeking admission in Bachelor of Science degree course, admission is done based on the merit of candidates in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KVPY.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to IISc BS 2019  is as follows

- Candidates must have passed Class 12th in 2018 or must be appearing in 2018 to be eligible to apply for admission.
- Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying exam as the compulsory subjects.
- Candidates who have studied Biology, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc. in the qualifying examination will also be eligible to apply.
- Securing at least 60% marks or first class division or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination is required.
- Relaxation will be given to the SC/ST candidates. Such candidates require to pass their Class 12th or PUC to be eligible for admission.
