Im currently doing B.E. Mechanical in Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. I want to M.E. in aeronautical engineering in IIST or MIT. how much GATE score needed for that? and what will be the procedure?

Hello

You have not mention from which category you are . As the cutoff is different for different category. As for iit the cutoff of the general category is in between 750-500. Likewise for every category cutoff is different. So please provide from which category you are .

Hope this helps

Thank you

can I get admission in iist after my neet result

Ayush 6th Jan, 2021

Hello candidate,

IIST admission on the candidate qualifying JEE Advanced and falling within the closing ranks for the general cutoff off IIST, for which he should have Physics, Chemistry, and mathematics as three compulsory subjects.

If you talk about NEET examination, you need to have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as three subjects which are compulsory. So if you have pursued your class 12th examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and any other optional subject then you are surely eligible to take admission into IIST after NEET results, but provided you have qualified JEE advanced examination with the necessary marks.

Have a good day!!

my predicted rank is 10k in jee advance am I eligible for iist TRIVANDRUM btech in aerospace engineering branch as per obc category also tell me at what marks I was in iist TRIVANDRUM

Abhishek Roy 5th Dec, 2020

Yes, I believe at a Rank of 10k in JEE Advanced, besides having OBC advantage you might just make into the Aerospace Engineering Course at IIST Trivandrum. For an AIR of 10k, keeping the current trend of Moderate to Tough papers in consideration you would perhaps require to score at least 30-35% of the Total Paper (~120/360) and should plan and place your preparation and test taking strategy accordingly. which is important for admission at iist ? jee(adv) mark or percentile?

Anurag Khanna 1st Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See if you want to get B.Tech. course into IIST then you have to appear for JEE-Advance and should have secured the minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for admission to any institution even in IIST through JEE-Advance score. But note that just qualifying the cut-off marks does not ensure your admission in any institution because admission are based on ranks allotted to each candidate on the basis of his/her marks scored in JEE-Advance.

For detailed process for admission in IIST kindly check out the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

can I crack IIT jee by self study and online class and get a seat in IIST TRIVANDRUM in aerospace branch as per obc,my class 12 and 11 is good but my family does not afford offline coaching and expensive books. my maths is excellent.chemistry is best and physics is best,

Parmeshwar Suhag 28th Nov, 2020

Hello Candidate,

If you want to get very good marks from your self preparation in IIT-JEE, then it needs full dedication and hard work. If you can't afford offline coachings due to money issue, then don't worry. You can use online resources like You Tube . Some very experienced teachers provide their video lectures of IIT-JEE for free. So use them. Some tips for preparation are given below.

  • Start with NCERT first. Only then move to some other good books.
  • Choose the Right Reference Books.
  • Learn Online.
  • Revise Daily and Clear Doubts.
  • Solve JEE Previous year question papers
  • Solve Mock Tests
  • Make short notes for revision.
  • Positive Attitude.

If you want to join IIST Trivandrum then your JEE Advanced score must be good. So prepare well for JEE Advanced.

Hope this helps.
