See if you want to get B.Tech. course into IIST then you have to appear for JEE-Advance and should have secured the minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for admission to any institution even in IIST through JEE-Advance score. But note that just qualifying the cut-off marks does not ensure your admission in any institution because admission are based on ranks allotted to each candidate on the basis of his/her marks scored in JEE-Advance.

What is JEE Advanced? *

Hope you doing great. There are three factors you have to keep in mind when you talk about the cut-off marks for IIST

1–75% in class 12th

2–20% in jee advanced.

3-At least 5% per subject .

And it's also depend on the difficulty of jee advance paper. Some time when paper is easy you have to score around 200 above for IIST and if paper is difficult you have score 150 or above.

For qualifying in JEE advanced you need to practice for the exam regularly, give mock tests, be self-motivated. And problem regarding the cutoff ranks and marks is due to regularly changing cutoffs for every college, every year. So it is hard to predict the exact marks and rank.
