How to join in iist(indian Institute of space and technology)?

dheeraj reddy 15th Feb, 2020
Hi gunasagar

For Bachelors programs, the admission is based on JEE advanced.

Minimum requirements are:
75% aggregate marks in class 12th board exam
Atleast 20% aggregate in JEE advanced; 5% in each of the subjects.
Your admission however depends on your JEE advanced
rank.

For Masters programs, admission is based on GATE/JEST/UGC NET

After qualifying with valid scores, you would be writing a IIST exam/ interview and selection would be based on that.

Minimum requirements:
60% aggregate in UG / 6.5 CGPA (of 10)
Should be a BE/Btech/Msc/MS or equivalent degree graduate.

Goodluck!

I am studying in 11th standard and an IIST aspirant. How much should I score in JEE mains and advanced ?

AYAN MULLA 9th Feb, 2020

HELLO VINAYA
Since IIST accepts only JEE advance scores so you will first need to qualify JEE mains.
Since you still have time so i suggest you to grab a percentile above 98+ so that tleast most of the reputed colleges are in your hand
to qualify JEE mains your percentile should be above 90+ to be just on safer side
Now coming to advance to get into IIST your JEE advance percentage should be around
B.Tech.(Aerospace Engineering)
43.89%(2018)
64.21%(2017)

Hello Sir Im From Maharashtra Learning in State board and my wish is to Join IIST Kerala so plz help in how can i contact with them or How i can get Admission in IIST Kerala And what are there Qualification For Admission in it...?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Feb, 2020
You can get into IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) for their Undergraduate programmes. The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Which means you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. You can pick any of their 4 year Bachelor programmes like B.Tech in Physical Sciences, B.Tech in Avionics and B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, etc. Or you can also pick up their 5 year Integrated courses in Master of Science in Astronomy and AstroPhysics, Master of Technology in Earth System Science, Master of Science in Solid State Physics and Master of Science in Optical Engineering, etc.

Opportunities are amazing for academically brilliant candidates. With a CGPA of 7.5 or higher, subject to the availability of vacancies, you get placed in ISRO. Aero and Avio graduates have better prospects even outside ISRO.

my percentile JEE main Jan 2020 is 81.5 and I belong to General category and my home state is Tamil Nadu, pls share the ranking and college Iist eligible for this score

manisha.gupta 22nd Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

The exact prediction is difficult for admission possibilities based on your percentile. With this percentile the chances are less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs.

You can try for the state level counselling like Punjab, Haryana, MP Etc. I would also suggest you to appear for JEE Main April Session 2020 if you wish to get NITs, IIITs & GFTIs. Its application form is expected to start from 7th February, 2020.

You can also use JEE Main College Predictor tool to know your admission possibilities in state level counselling.
