Hello Alfiya,
ISRO will is the main (only one till now) which is hiring aspirants due to the agreement that if one secure a CGPA greater than 7.5 we have to work for ISRO fro 3 years. If yiu get placed there you will recieve a bacsic pay of Rs.21000 per month according to central govt scale.you get something around 70k will all the allowances. But in recent times a few sophisticated companies like Adobe,Mathworks,Mercedes Benz and few more have conducted placement sessions and hired M.Tech students. Now the placement cell is working very actively.
Good luck.
Hello
If you ask me then first of all you must have physics and maths in your 12th boards. Then you shall get admission in IIST (Indian institute of space science and technology) then after that you get to isro and work as scientist or engineer. This way seems more easier .
NO! You have no chance of getting IIST. Minimal jee advance criteria you need to fulfill for IIST was 20% of the total marks with 5% in each of the subjects (in JEE advance) .
Finally the IIST take students on the basis of their JEE MAINS ranks .But with your rank you haven't Qualified for jee-aadvance. So, you have no chance of getting IIST.
Good luck!
Dear Aspirant, after searching the website I came to know that there are no particular quotas for kashmiri migrant. There are the cast quotas.
Thank you.
Hi Mukesh,
Congrats on your jee main rank. Considering the rank mentioned is in general category, it is a very good rank. But you can not claim for admission in any IIT or IIST using your JEE Mains rank. You need to clear JEE Advanced with a general rank of 4000 or below to get into IIT Bombay or IIT Madras or IIST Thiruvananthapuram. With your mains rank, you can get into very good NITs like NIT Warangal etc.
Feel free to ask anymore queries if any.
All the best!!!
Hi chandrachud ! Your percentile in JEE main exam is very good. You can easily earn a seat to do BE from any government colleges or from any private colleges. At the mean time BE and B.tech give the same meaning. Maximum institutes provides b.tech only and whereas there are other good government colleges which provides BE. So best of luck to you.
Hi,
The IITS are better as they been offering this course for a long preiod of time.So keep them as your first choice.
However do not leave out IIST as it under the aegis of ISRO who offer good education and provided you meet certain conditions, would be able to secure a job at ISRO.
This would provide you with the prefect launchpad to carry out your masters in this field.
