Which is the best college for aerospace engineering, iist, iit karaghpur, iit madras, iit Kanpur or iit Bombay?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 20th May, 2019

Hello Bharath

By far IIT kharagpur and IIT Bombay are considered the best aeronautics engineering colleges according to multiple surveys. Then ofcourse are iit Kanpur and IIT Madras. To be true prospect of aeronautics and aerospace in India is pretty low if you are not in one of the above mentioned institution and even if one manages to get through with jee and get into these institution only the top rung of students get good jobs. Ofcourse there is a lot of prospect in the aerospace engineering field as far as research and development is considered abroad and in india too in institution like ISRO . Hindustan aeronautics in India recruits aeronautic engineer. I would also like to mention if u would like to study aeronautics or aerospace engineering. And you do a good bit of research on this.

Is 45 marks in jee advance enough to get admission in iist.i belong to sc category

Ayush Patwa 16th May, 2019

I don't want to disappoint you but I don't think that 45 marks would be enough to surely get admission into IIST even if you belong to SC category . To get admission over there I would prefer you to try to score about 20% of the total marks in JEE Advanced since cutoff for JEE Advanced changes every year .All the best.

What is jee mains cutof for IIST ??

Bhumika Rani 15th May, 2019

Hi aspirant

IIST take admission on the following basis:

  • Number of candidates appeared in JEE Advance
  • Number of seats in the IIST college
  • JEE Advanced 2019 difficulty level
  • Previous years’ cutoff trends

The cut off is as high as of IITs.

You can check past few year trends here:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/iist-btech-cutoff

What to score in jee advanced to get admission in iist thiruvanthapuram.i belong to sc category

Arpit Agarwal 14th May, 2019

Well, since JEE advanced their is fix total marks so instead of number of marks the percentage of marks would be a better assumption

according to the past cut off

You have to score around 30% to be eligible for any of the branch offered by IIST thir.

But since this year paper would be subjective in nature

So you can expect a seat of any desired branch around 26-27% socring.

Ps - marks I've told is from the best of my knowledge. Since JEE advanced os unpredictable in nature so the orignal scoring may can vary.
