Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar
Hello there. Once you are able to get the name in mock round their is maximum probability that you will get that seat. Sometimes some candidates changes their preference at last moment which might cause some changes otherwise mock round results are nearly same as what you will see in final merit list for spot round.

Hello Bicky,
At your rank, it is difficult slightly for a branch shift given the fact that you lie in a high density region so to speak. So the chances of upgradation or shifting are minimal if you look at it. However, silly things happen during the process of counselling so keep your hopes alive.
All the best.
Dear Aspirant,
The choice is not simple in your case as the branches are quite different and have their own reputation other than college. It is a famous saying that "prefer branch over college", and if this is so, then choose the branch of your interest. If you are interested in coding, computers, softwares, etc., then go for IIT GN(CSE). However, if you are more inclined towards machines and mathematics, etc then go for Mechanical.
CSE as a branch, undoubtedly have an upper hand over mechanical, or for that matter better than any branch. So if you do not have any preference, then go for CSE. It has better career opportunities than most of the other branches.
In summary, it is all about your interest and not about college, if you are comparing colleges like these. However, IIT Kanpur is definitely a good college than IIT Gandhinagar, but if you are not interested in mechanical or not interested in any of the branch then go for IIT GN.
Hope this helps.
Thank You and all the best.
Dear student, the mock rounds are not the exact results for getting a seat in IIT. They are just based on the basis of number of students registered for josaa counselling. Hence please wait for other more crowns and check for the previous year cutoff. This will give you more accuracy than more round 1.
Hello Biky
Congratulations on qualifying JEE!!
At this rank of yours, you won't be able to get B.Tech degree course in IIT Kharagpur, although you can get Architecture course( 5 year course of B.Arch) . Thus , I would rather recommend you to go with IIT Gandhinagar( as you might be getting a beter option here, according to the branch). Or else, if you wish, you could also check for the college predictor link-https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-advanced-college-predictor?icn-JEE_Advanced-clgpd&ici=JEE-Advanced-article-text-mapping
I hope this helps you. All the best!!
