Hey aspirant, IITs accept application form for M.tech of any general category candidate only if they have secure above 8.0 CGPA in their qualifying exam.

For SC/ST candidate above 6.25 CGPA is also acceptable.

If you are a general category candidate then you are not eligible for admission in M.tech

It depends on how you take it. People even find a simple BA course tough. I have a few friends who are studying in IIT right now. Talking with them I realised, a person who actually loves the idea of getting knowledge can flourish in an IIT.

To get admission in IIT you need to clear jee advance and also score good enough to get IITs as their cutoffs are high. Moreover you may get NIT bhopal with this rank but you can't get top branches like cse, ece ece as their cutoffs are lower than 6k
