As of now gate in not offered in biomedical engineering. It is better for the students of biomedical to choose the subjects such as instrumentation engineering and electronics and communication engineering for giving away the gate exam.

It is possible to get the admission into Mtech in IIT/nit without gate.

There were

  • sponsered seats at IIT/nit

If you want to get the seat in these category your chpa should be high and you should also face a interview where the questions will be at gate level.

Yes,there is different closing and opening ranks for different categories when it comes to admission to IITs.There are different reserved seat quotas for different categories.In Case of IITs,there is no state quota unlike in case of NITs.Hope this helps.

IITs have their own medical boards that can take medical tests for candidates whose disability certificates seem to be dubious or doubtful.

In that particular case,the candidate brought a disability certificate with 40% disability but after conducting tests,the IIT found him to have only 23% disability due to
