Is NCERT enough for iit preparation?

NCERT is well enough to prepare for jee mains 2018 and solving previous years questions cab enhance your skills.

I got 75.61 percentile CAT. 89 in verbal and 88.79 in logical reasoning ang 19 in Quants. Can I get into IIT DOMS ?

Pavithra assuming you are a general category student then you will not get a call from DOMS, IIT Madras with 75.61 percentile. Even if we ignore the section percentile then also your overall score is not sufficient to get a call for the second round of GD and interview. You

If i am not able to crack GATE ,whether there is an alternative option to get admission in m.tech in mechanical field in ISM(IIT) ?

Not really. Earlier, there was the ISMEE which is still there but mechanical engineering is removed from its purview. So no unles you have the criteria mentioned below by Manashjyoti.

How do they reserve seats in IIT for each category, do they have separate rankings for each category

Yes,  as per the cbse regulations every caste is having some reservations percentage. Suppose it's 15% FIR so according to this the seats in nits/iits.

No, it is not compulsory that all the students will get admission in IITs.

In order to take admission in IITs you have to clear the cut off

Basically,  JEE advanced is the exam which will be taken by 10+2 students so as to enter into IITS to do any BTECH course.
And you can take JEE advanced only after completing the JEE mains.
So,  doing mtech in IITS can bring you more package even 1cr

Yes Definitely. The first step to getting admitted to an IIM is writing the CAT. The CAT is a highly competitive exam that is given by approximately 1.96 lakh candidates.
