Indian Institute of Technology
Hello aspirant,
with your OBC-NCL rank you have little chance of getting into IITs, NITs or GFTIs. However, the percentile vs cutoffs for all engineering colleges vary each year, as well as the availability of seats in the successive rounds of counselling. If you have a state quota, try to avail it and see how that works for you.
To know about exact colleges, use the college predictor tool: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
all the best.
Dear Aspirants,
As per previous Year stats the Cutoff Rank is 793 for SC Category(ME) . Since you can not clear this cutoff so, it not possible for you to get IIT Guwahati Mechanical Engineering.
For JOSSA Counselling you can Use College predictor best college results,

I suggest you to that engineering in which you are interested and can excel into which. Since IIT are of National importance you can choose any of them based on your rank and choices. But I like you to suggest that you should choose ISM Dhanbad over IIT Triputi. As ISM Dhanbad established in 1926 and offers 16 courses. While IIT Triputi is new IIT established in 2015. Also you can Mineral engineering in ISM Dhanbad and prepare for second year branch upgrade of your choice.
Best Of Luck
Hello rishi,
The same deliemma was there for my friend last year. In first round of JEE counselling he got Electrical at IIT Bhilai .If he had opted to float it was sure that he would get Engineering Physics at IIT Dhanbad .After much thinking he opted for floating and got engineering physics at Dhanbad. After waiting till last round he got Electronics and Instrumentation at Dhanbad. Now he never regret his decision.
He opted to go with float because ISM is 100 times better than IIT Bhilai. ISM has vast alumni network as established in 1926. In MHRD ranking it is above IIT BHU, Gandhinagar etc. Then why give IIT Bhilai a preference. And as far as branch is considered engineering physics will be one of the most sought branch in coming years.
hope it helps you.
If you still have any issue fell free to comment.

Hello ,
Hope you are doing well.
As per your question, as taking any courses in IITs would be far better if and only if you have interest in that subject. As per aritficial intelligence engineering in IIT hyderabad , they newly introduced this branch not only iit hyderabad but mostly IITs are going to introduce this new branch as this is a new courses worldwide which would be beneficial for upcoming future . So persuing this as your personal interest engineering you can go with this branch as this branch would be in trend as in upcoming future like CS and IT.
Also as an alternative you can go with bachelors in CSE and masters in AI but depends on you and your personal interest.

Dear student,
Hello there, I hope you are doing well.
A masters degree is pure maths can help you to make a carrier in higher education, eg in Research or assistant professor at colleges level after clearing CSIR NET exam in maths. With the help of gate you can pursue M.tech from IIT's from reputed places. Not just that, on clearing both NET and JRF which is Junior research fellowship you are now eligible to be an assistant professor and also you can get admission in various government institutions to pursue Ph.D.
This is if you wish to do MSC in pure maths. For this you need much more dedication and patience with utmost dedication. This is just not the end you could diverge in many other field if you feel teaching is not your best option. Eg:
with B.ed degree after MSC you can only go in the field of teaching at most till hss level and you will be there itself at most changing institutions. It's almost the same.
hope this helps all the best.
