Basically both IIT are really good but If compare the both branch metallurgy and mechanical engineering than the scope of mechanical engineering is better in present or future also so I think mechanical engineering will be good in IIT BHU .

IIT varanasi is BHU which is some of the oldest colleges in INDIA and IIT indore is of 2009 both are very good colleges excellent faculties and nice environment for the studies
