Marks are subjective , rank isnt.

So rank is a much better way to judge.

You can get into an iit only by your jee advanced marks

Nits and other gftis however give admission based on mains rank.

Yes fees structure is different for every institute no institute share a complete same fee structure but yes tution fee for SFTIs are same as that of GFTIS but rest amount of feesis different even every caste has there own fees structure Sc and st caste candidates

Yes every institute has there own fees structure no institute share same amount under overall fees structure GFTIs share same tution fees as compared to the SFTIs but this too some of them as self funded institute are highly costly compared to the IITs or nits .
