Yes the compartment in your maths subject is the reason behind not getting IITA in Jossa because in 1116 rank you would have easily got IIT in the 4th round itself. Don't lose your heart and work harder and crack JEE with even good rank. IIT don't take

No there is not any spot round for IITs in JOSAA counselling 2019.CSAB conducts a special round for counselling for the remaining seats of NITs ,IIITs and GFTIs.

If you are upgarded from an NIT to an IIT in the 7th round of JOSAA,then it's good for you.
And if you are getting a seat in an IIT in the last round and if you are satisfied,then the last step will be the reporting to your alloted
