My son s ranl in advance is 2180, which IIT can he get?

I am answering this question considering him as general category. With 2180 rank he can get many good IITs.

Based on previous year cut-offs he can get this colleges and this branches in there respective college with his rank

Dear Vikas,

According to last years's cutoff I don't think you will be able to get any Engineering course in any IIT. So I would recommend you to search for the best NITs. According to me your rank is good enough for you to get into almost any courses

i dont think you can get in because for medical field bio subject is compulsory

or you can try different college like 

kj somiya (mumbai)they have admission based on jee rank as well as cet

dy patil(mumbai,pune)they have admission based on jee ,cet,boards as well or mangement quota

the eligibility criteria is 75% aggregate and minimum 60 marks in physics,chemistry and maths.(for general candidates)

So if you fulfill the criteria there is no need to worry however if you do not have 75% then top 20 percentile is checked .You can check it yourself by comparing

No all IITs have not same placement opportunities .Placement also depends on which IIT you are studying.As placement depends in various factors like college facilities, college students, college environment and sometimes also the place where IIT is situated.
