Thanks for your query. IIT Tirupati electrical engineering is for sure not a bad choice to go for. As of placements, the placements are not that good you excpect from an IIT but for sure it's better than many colleges. So you can for sure go for this branch.

You didn't complete your question but yes you can write JEE when you are in an engineering college and if you get an IIt or NIT, you can take admissions but you have to check with the office of the college you are in because they may ask
