Getting a seat in IIT depends on your rank in jee advance examination. So first you have to give JEE admvance examination and then you have to attend JOSAA counselling after you clear the examination.

there is no free seats in iits. you need to have the cutoff score to get admission in iits.
cutoff scores differ from stream to stream and college to college.
