with 1902 category rank can I get any course in iit Hyderabad

I see that you have got 1902 category rank in JEE advanced right. And you want to get enrolled in IIT Hyderabad .

But sorry to say , first you should complete your question you haven't mentioned which category do you belong , wether OBC or sc or St . So you better mention your rank and then ask it.

But for your question if you are from OBC category you will get some branch like civil chemical etc.

My gate score is 633(53.29) and rank is 2600 in civil engineering paper .can I get mtech environment and WRE in IIT Hyderabad in spot rounds

Hi Pooja,You are very close to the cut off required for Environment and water resources Engineering in IIT Hyderabad as the cut off for General -649

For OBC-596,SC-515.

The above mentioned cut off is based on your Gate score,So you can see you are very close.(For Gen category).

Wait for the counselling,I hope you will get your desired college.

IIT Kharagpur ocean engineering dual degree or IIT Hyderabad Metallurgy which option is best?

Hello,
Both the courses are different and the colleges are also different.
If you choose according to the college IIT Kharagpur is a better college than IIT Hyderabad. The value of IIT Kharagpur is higher than the second college.
According to the course, not many colleges offer ocean engineering and it also has a good scope. While metallurgy is also a good course but it has some competition built in recent years. So ocean engineering at IIT Kharagpur will be a better choice.

Which is better IIT Hyderabad electrical engineering or IIT Gandhinagar CSE ?

Hello Aaditya,

I'll suggest you to choose engineering branch over college. As CSE has more scope nowadays, so I'll suggest you to join CSE in IIT Gandhinagar. As after 10 years the thing which matters the most is your branch and skill , and not the college.

You can also opt for Electrical in IIT Hyderabad but in upcoming future it doesn't have much scope.

Hello Varsha,
Both the colleges you listed above are both the top colleges in the country, on a personal note NIT warangal is an older institution and IIT hyderabad is a new IIT, you will get good exposure and opportunities in the both the colleges, so it will completely depend upon the choice of branch you are interested in , if you are interested in ece go for warangal, if in mechanical and facinated by IIT brand name go for IIT Hyderabad , take decision completely based on your interest of branch, both the colleges would provide you excellent placements also as a matter of fact in rankings IIT hyderabad is ranked up to what warangal is ranked i.e IIT Hyderabad is in top 10, warangal in top 20-30.

In terms of campus beauty :

IIT GUWAHATIIIT ROORKEE/IIT MANDIIIT MADRAS/IIT KGP

In terms of Academics :

IIT KANPUR/ IIT MADRAS /IIT DELHI

In terms of placements :

IIT BHU/ROORKEE/IIT KANPUR/DELHI/IIT B

In terms of exposure you get :

IIT BOMBAY/IIT DELHI/IIT ROORKEE

In terms of sports facilities :

IIT KANPUR/IIT BHUALL

In terms of reputation:

IIT BOMBAY/IIT DELHI/IIT ROORKEE/IIT KANPUR/IIT MADRAS/IIT KGP

These are my views.

Overall nearly all IITs are good. IIT HYDERABAD and IIT INDORE are doing great. In near future they would definitely make it to the top of the list .

i got mechanical in gandinagar iit in 1st mock ,is there any chance of getting mechanical in iit hyderabad in further rounds?

Hello Akula Koteswarudu,

It would have been really helpful if you would have mentioned your CRL. However, if you look at 2018 JEE ADVANCED rank vs branch, after the final round of counseling, the closing rank of Mechanical in IIT GANDHINAGAR was 4229 and of IIT HYDERABAD was 3192. If your rank lies in this range, you can be hopeful. All the best.

Iam sorry to say this but with this score it is highly impossible to get into any of the IIT's as the cutoff's for IIT's are really high.

I would rather suggest you to appear for JEE mains again next year with much more preparation.

Yes metallurgical engineering is very good. There are many job opportunities in metallurgical engineering .
Metallurgical engineer , metallurgist , process engineer , engineering intership , research assistant , laboratory technician, project designer these are the job opportunities in metallurgical engineering . The average salary is 75000.
