Dear Aspirant,
If you are committed to studies and can dedicate yourself to education for 2 more years the go to IIT Jodhpur. Artificial intelligence is the best career nowadays and a BTech degree in the same will be very good for boosting your career up.
Maybe you're confused because of the fact that AI is not a traditional branch but traditional branches are not worth anymore. Only computer science and engineering have some scope, other than that the growth and placements are very few in other branches.
Choose AI, study it and get a good job. That is why you are studying for in the first place.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
This is quite a complex situation of choosing a college.
Doing MTech in Sensors and Iot will be much better than doing power engineering.
But Iit Ropar has better placements than Iit Jodhpur.
But if you compare in detail doing mtech in sensors and Iot will be better choice as this is in trend .
The placements will be fine in the near future for Iit Jodhpur.
Best Wishes
No doubt it is a good college for mtech mechanical. Firstly congratulations on getting iit jodpur because the seats for mtech in iits are really less. Secondly you must not give a second thought of taking admission there. It is of course a good college for mechanical engineering and you will have lots of placement from here
Hi Aspirant
This kind of dilemma is faced by a lot of students during JOSAA counseling. There cannot be any one answer to this kind of question. So you must keep in mind the following facts:
a) Which branch interests you more? If a particular branch interests you more go for that irrespective of the College because branch is more important than the college.
b) If any particular Branch doesn't interest you going for the older college is advisable because you will know about the placement statistics and have a better Campus.
c) Location must also be considered. Which college's location gives you the advantages over the others go for that college.
While choosing the branch you must have a look at the career options available for that particular branch. Gather as much information as you can about that particular field from the people associated with that field.
Hope this helps and All the Best.
As you have mentioned that your jee score is 407 and you fall under obc category. But you haven't mentioned your rank. Nevertheless, i am mentioning the closing ranks for IIT tirupathi, if you rank fall under this rank then you may the get the college :
Closing rank for IIT tirupathi :
Closing rank for IIT jodhpur :
These Closing ranks are for the last year(2018).
Having said that the cutoff changes every year depending upon various factors like number of seats available, number of candidates appearing for the examination, difficulty level of the question paper. So, again this year the cutoff gas increased by near about 10-25 marks.
So, for the furthermore information please go through the link given below to predict the colleges you may get :
