For IISER Admission,they conduct the admission in three channels:-

a)KVPY

b)SCB

c)JEE

Now if you opt for the SCB Channel,they have questions from 4 sets Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. So if you have Biology in your 11th and 12th,that would be a plus point for you.For further details and to know more about the eligibility criteria please follow the link:-

In SBC exam questions asked will be from either state board syllabus or from NCERT/CBSE syllabus??

As I can see syllabus of IISER exam, I think NCERT book is best for this.

Im giving 12th from Maharashtra board But Im from WB so can give the SCB exam in Kolkata??Or I have to appear it in MH itself??

I can help you  you are giving only 11th and 12th in Maharashtra

Then there is no problem for you

Since as if now mostly States are reurequi only 7 years education in that particular state is enough for higher studies

So there is no problem for you

How to get admission in IISc. Bangalore after 12

Hey Pranav, Admission procedure for IISc, Banglore is very simple. 

IISc releases its application form at this time, every year. The last date to submit the application form is somewhere around the last week of April. Then marks ontained in certain exams like KVPY, Jee mains, Jee Advance or NEET are to be submitted within 1 week of announcement of result. And if you are selected then you have to report at IISc, Banglore within last week of July.

Selection is based on the cutoff released by the IISc and on the merit list for certain eligibility exams like KVPY, Jee mains, Jee Advance and NEET.

There are certain eligibility criteria also :

1. You must have passed your 12th board or equivalent exam with 60% or above score and you must have been a Science student that is must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.

2. Students appearing for 12th boards in the year of applying are also eligible that is if you arfe going to apply for IISc in 2019 and you are also giving 12th boards in 2019 then also you are eligible.

3. Candidates should have cleared the KVPY, Jee Mains, Jee Advance or NEET.

i am students of A group in 12th science can I give this exam ?

Hi,

If you are seeking admission via SCB channel out of remaining two channels i.e. JEE and KVPY. Then, your percentage must be as per cut-off prescribed by the IISER for your Educational Board.

Also, you have to attempt IISER Aptitude Test after which the merit-list of selected students for admission into IISER.

Also, their are about 7 IISER's in India. This merit list will be prepared by Joint Action Committee for the five-year BS-MS course.

Is IISC exam is Bsc( research) like exam . please reply.

Actually IISC(Indian Institute of Science) is not an exam, it is a premier institute of India for research sciences. IISC was established for advancement of research and science in India. According to the NIRF university rankings, it was 10th in Asia and 190th in the world according to QS World University Ranking.

IISC offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in engineering, science, design and management domains.

UG Courses offered- 

The course is offered under undergraduate program Bachelor of Science (Research) program.

For admission to IISC you need to be selected on the basis of-

  • JEE Mains

Dear Aryan, IISER is an Aptitude test for admission into 5 year BS-MS degree.programmes. 7 Institutes participate in this programme. IISER stands for Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research. Admission into these 7 IISERs is conducted through 3 channels, KVPY, JEE and SCB. IISER admission test is for those candidates who are looking for admission througb SCB channel. This is an integrated program which involves BS and MS studies. Following is the eligibility criteria for IISER 2019:

Nationality:

Indian National, PIO & OCI candidates are eligible to apply.

KVPY Stream:
  • Candidates have a valid KVPY scholarship commencing from 2019-2019 session.
SCB Streams: Passed 10+2 or intermediate examination with science stream in 2017 or 2019. Candidates have to secure marks equal or above the cut-off percentage in their respective boards.The cut-off percentage marks is 55% in 10+2 level for all boards for SC/ST/KMcategory candidates. There is 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for the OBC-NC & PwD category. Of course, Aryan your form will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria of IISER 2019

  • Indian nationals and students belonging to PIO (Person of Indian Origin) or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).

1)For KVPY

            Students need to have valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2018-19 academic session.

2)JEE ADVANCE

Students belonging to general category need to secure a rank within 10,000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2018 to be eligible for IISER Admission 2018. Whereas, students falling in reserved categories (OBCNC, SC, ST, PD) should secure rank within 10,000.

3)SCB

Students seeking admission under this channel must meet the minimum cutoff percentage prescribed by IISER for their respective state boards.

  • If you write SCB ENTRANCE you need write IISER aptitude test fo othere entrance aptitude test not need.

What is the fee structure of iist??? Is there any fee for counseling???How much does hostel cost ???

No, you don't need to pay for counselling but you have to pay for application form. The application fee for UG courses is Rs. 600/- (for Male candidates of GEN/OBC-NCL), Rs. 300/- (Female candidates in GEN and OBC-NCL) and Rs. 300/- (for SC/ST/PWD), for PG courses is Rs. 600/- (for Male candidates of GEN/OBC) & Rs. 300/- (for Female candidates of GEN/OBC, SC, ST & PwD candidates) per department.

The FEE structure is as below

  • Caution Money (One Time, Refundable) : ₹13,000
  • Tuition Fee (per Semester) : ₹20,000
  • Hostel Charges (per Semester (4 months)) : ₹2,400
  • Dining Charges (per Semester) : ₹12,000
  • Establishment Charges (per Semester) : ₹8,000
  • Student Amenities Fee (per Semester) : ₹4,000
  • Medical Fee (per Semester)  : ₹2,000
  • Total : ₹61,400
