can a bca graduate candidate join indian navy ?

Md Qutubuddin Ansari 24th Oct, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine, The answer is ‘No' if you are talking about the officer level entry. But my answer will be ‘Yes' if you have a Post Graduation(MCA). As we know, about 80% of all officer level entries in Indian Navy are strictly for BE/B.Tech graduates only. So if you are having any graduation other than this, then it will be a tough competition.

The only eligible entry for an MCA graduate is INET(O) which is held twice a year. But still the eligibility is limited to 2 following cadres only,

  • SSC Logistics
  • SSC IT(Information Technology)

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck

should we add both 11th and 12th-grade marks . Whenever the applicant asked to fill the 12th-grade marks especially the kerala board in the Indian Navy Application ?? here our marklist consist of both plus one and plus 2 as a total

Vidya Kasi 23rd Oct, 2021

Hi

Including both 11th and 12th marks in a single marksheet is typical of Kerala board but not elsewhere. Indian navy is not specific of Kerala it's national. Hence if they have specified 12th marks only then you give only 12th marks for the individual subjects they have asked. Enquire with the board for the 12th marks separately if possible and then enter it in the form.

Hope this helps!

Siddharth Singh 22nd Sep, 2021

Dear aspirant,

No, you cannot join Merchant Navy by studying PCB in high school. To be eligible to join Indian Navy, you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination. You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a Government recognized board to be eligible to appear in NDA examination for joining in Indian Navy. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, you are a PCB student, so, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy.

my age is 24 can i apply for Indian Navy ? i complete diploma in Information technology from government polytechnic himatnagar

Vanshika Nangia 23rd Aug, 2021

Hello dear aspirant.
the eligibility criteria to get into Indian navy has a age bar of 21-24 years. So yes, if you’re 24 years old in 2021 you can apply this year and go through the entire recruitment procedure.
Completing graduation be it a regular degree or diploma with 60% aggregate or more in all semesters, As well as in physics and mathematics in 10+2,, makes you eligible to apply.
if you are eligible you can appear for INET, that is Indian Navy entrance test.

The tentative date to apply in the year 2021 will start from November 1st, 2021.

I hope this helps, please ask if you have any more queries.
Good luck
