IGNOU is run by the central government of India, and with total active enrollment of over 4 million students, claims to be the largest university in the world. It is just that IGNOU does not offer regular courses, otherwise for open distance learning courses IGNOU is top most choice for many students.

As most of the colleges are now accepting Bachelor's degree from IGNOU, so after the completion of B.SC in IGNOU, you can pursue M.SC Life Sciences from JNU. From any university of India, you can also pursue M.SC in regular mode. But before pursuing, just check you are meeting the eligibility criteria of the college while taking admission.

First of all IGNOU is a recognized university in terms of offering distance learning programs, hence your degree will definitely be valid, but the question is what are your career goals, if it's appearing for government exams such as UPSC.SSC CGL.CPO/CDS, state PSCs or banking/insurance exams to name a few, then you're eligible to apply as majority have criteria of passed graduation in any field from a recognized university, the subject criteria may become specific when it comes to certain posts such as SSGL CGL has three posts which have specific criteria of subject combinations at 10+2 level/graduation, or in some banking exams there may be requirement of 50%-60% aggregate such as NABARD Grade B Officer, RBI Assistant or RBI Grade B, when it comes to private sector the scope is quite limited though you may do some short term courses as per your subject combinations at graduation or depending on your areas of interest it can range from business, technology, creativity etc, these will be additions to your CV, if you have a interest in teaching or content development for education, then you may explore the opportunities in Ed-Tech industry, with the advent of technology the very definition of education has changed and it's only going to flourish in the time to come as well, other than this you can pursue higher studies to enhance your professional advancements, you can pursue courses such as LLB/MBA as these courses don't require candidates belonging to specific streams, you can do BEd, or pursue master's degree, and later on appear for CSIR NET for pursuing a career in research or become lecturer.

IGNOU closed application form for July 2020 session recently. Last date for admission in the July 2020 admission cycle was extended till 31st December 2020. There is no announcement of schedule for upcoming session. However, the institute will release application form for December 2020 session. You will be able to submit the application form of IGNOU online at ignou.ac.in.

The last date to fill examination form for IGNOU was extended till 7th January, 2021 as of now the portal is closed, there has been no such official announcements so far regarding extension of application form fill up for TEE even with late fees, in the past though candidates were allowed to fill TEE form with late fees, if the officials make such announcement for the same, then you can fill the form, else you have to appear for June TEE.
