If you are a resident of AP then you can try for bio tech, chemical, civil,metsllurgyin nit AP. Slight Chances are there if you are interested in these branches.

First thing i clear you is that for mechanical engineering in IIT you need to clear JEE advanced.

You might get admission in NIT or IIIT.I think you must have got rank around 1.5 lakh-2 lakh.

For example-According to 2017 statistics

NIT Raipur (for home state)(Information engineering branch)

Opening rank-9007

Closing rank-16903

There are very rare chances of getting iiit at this marks if you are in general or obc. Try fir other colleges in wbjee or private ones.

Definitely some of the iiit seats are available to you,
But i will give you a suggestion !

You should take a iiit after 2rd counselling or 3rd so that you will get better iiit than previous.
