what is the eligibility criteria for iiit hyderabad my percentage in class 12 is 73.6. and marks in phy 75, chem 67, and in maths 46 , am i eligible for btech in iiit hyderabad .

Shivang Dubey 28th May, 2020

Hey Ankur

For admissions in International Institute of information technology, Hyderabad one should have an aggregate of 60% in his/her 10+2 results in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry each. [This is for admissions through IIIT-H portal; i.e. UGEE or KVPY]

Sorry but your scores aren't satisfying IIIT-H eligibility criteria, because your marks in Maths are less than 60.

Note: If you are taking admission through JEE Mains-1 then you need to qualify JEE/NTA eligibility of 75% for admissions (General category) in IIIT-H.

what book i should reefer for preparing IIITH exam, especially REAP section

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Apr, 2020

Sai, IIIT H conducts REAP (Research Aptitude Test) for 120 minutes. The exam is based on 11th and 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This is both for CBSE and most State Syllabus. REAP will emphasize on testing critical and creative thinking abilities of the Candidate. You can check the sample questions at: https://cdn.iiit.ac.in/cdn/www.iiit.ac.in/files/iiit/Section2-REAP-Sample.pdf

Your first go to books should be NCERT Books to get the basics right. And there are no specific books for REAP section. But you can prepare the same books that you have prepared JEE Mains for but at a more advanced level.

I have 80.49 percentile in jee main I am a OBC nil catagory student can I get admission in IIIT Hyderabad for 4 year b tech in computer science engineering or electronics and communication engineering

Aniket Sharma 28th Apr, 2020
Hi shiva,
I hope doing well. There is no reservation like sc/st/obc/ews/home state quota in IIIT Hyderabad. Candidates are selected on the basis of their CRL rank in JEE Mains. According to the last year cutoff (2019) you need at least:

99.9084225 percentile for computer science engineering
99.7681949 percentile for electronics and communication engineering

So, we can see there is a huge gap between your percentile and last year cutoffs. So you have no chance of getting IIIT Hyderabad.

Hope this helps.
