International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad
Hi,
A big NO, BITS hyderabad, IIT hyderabad and IIIT hyderabad does not accept TS PGECET score. BITS Hyderabad accepts BITS exam score, IIT accepts JEE advanced score and IIIT accepts JEE mains score only. So you should prepare for the exams to get admission in any of these colleges.
I wish you best of luck
Thank You

Good Luck!
Hi Vamsi,
I would suggest CSE or ECE in IIIT Hyderabad is much better than BITS, Pilani.
The reason I say that is because according to 2018 placement statistics, the average package of CSE and ECE in IIIT Hyderabad was 23.5 LPA and 18 LPA respectively.
Whereas, the average package of CSE and ECE in BITS Pilani was 10 to 12 LPA.
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!!
The Main Factor which is used to distinguish between two branches is PLACEMENTS.
According to the stats of 2018, here is a detailed placement report of CSE and ECE branch in IIIT Hyderabad-
1. 100% placement in both CSE and ECE branches.
2. Highest Package of CSE- 42 LPA and Highest Package of ECE- 39.80 LPA
3. Average Package of CSE- 23.55 LPA and Average Package of ECE- 17.98 LPA
4. Lowest Package of CSE and ECE- 7 LPA
Therefore, CSE is slightly better than ECE.
All the best!!!
For 4 year course
You haveto score 270 above in JEE mains to get cse in iiit Hyderabad.
For ECE it was around 245 .
Though the cutoffs are tentative and tend to change every year.
It mainly depends on JEE main percentile .
There are several rounds for it
For 5 year course
You have to give an exam ugee for dual degree and there will be an interview too .
Dear aspirant
If you are passionate about Computer Science and are sure you want a career in this field, then the order should be-
IIIT Hyderabad > > > IIIT Delhi > > NSIT ~DTU.
IIIT hyderabad is basically the best for Computer Science in India. There is no need to explain that. Just look at the performance of their students in the past 5 years or so in Competitions like ACM ICPC, Google Code Jam, GSoC etc. IIIT H dominates all the colleges including IITB. The research opportunities are also really amazing and unlike IITs and NITs you do not have to waste 1 year studying useless subjects, so basically you get 1 year extra to code. IIIT Delhi is also doing pretty good. DTU and NSIT do not have that kind of coding culture mainly because they have other branches too, unlike IIITs where most are in CS and some in Electrical.
If you are not sure about CS then the decision would be up to you. IIITs will make you work really hard towards coding and frankly other extra curricular clubs are as good as non existant there (sports facilities and culture too). DTU and NSIT would provide an all-round development which may be better in this case.
Also if you’re a typical student from a middle class family, DTU/NSIT is a no-brainer for the simple reason that the other two colleges would require you to take out a loan to pay their not so insignificant fees for your undergraduate studies , which would only add to your burden when you go for expensive graduation programs such as MS or MBA.
I hope this helps you. Good luck!!
dear aspirant,
lateral entry test for engineering is not so hard as JEE to crack, you have to go through your basic course subjects so thet things are made simpler.
General Aptitude: R S Agarwal or GATE book
Discrete Mathematics: Johnsonbaugh or Rosen
Digital Logic: Morris Mano or Floyd
Computer Organization: Hamacher or Stallings
Programming: C by Dennis Ritchie.
best of luck
Hello Vivek,
Since it is too late to answer your query, I hope your exam was good and you also checked UGEE round 1 & Round 2 result. You can stay tuned with us for your further queries.
Hello Sarath.
It doesn't matter too much which iiits you are opting. If you are from South then go for the one which is nearest to your home city . Else iiit Assam and Tiruchirapalli are the best iiits in terms of placement and infrastructure you can choose any as per your convenience..
Good luck
IIT Delhi is a better one
Since it's one of the best institutions in the country.
It has all-round development course for an engineer.
And definitely a much bigger brand and placements
If you get good branches then go for IIT Delhi
But not for low branch like biotechnology
Also if you are very much interested in cs course then IIIT hyd offers good course and placements.
