Yes, you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile in order to be eligible for NITs.

Boards marks are not counted in declaring result.

No, they only provide admission on the basis of UPSEE rank as 100% seats in all branches are filled based on UPSEE merit only.
