Jammu and Kashmir
I did the same mistake in my application form.
I filled my form yesterday and I made a mistake by clicking that I am not domiciled in JAMMU AND KASHMIR.
But I am a permanent resident of KASHMIR and I am eligible for medical seats of the state
Please tell me what to do now.
Dear aspirant
Candidates must note that Jammu and Kashmir do not take part in any centralized counselling session for 15% All India Quota seats (AIQ).Authorities will release the cutoff of J & K MBBS/BDS for 100% state quota seats.
So from other states, Candidates can't get addimision in Jammu and Kashmir.
Although there is only one college which you can take admission is AIIMS, JAMMU by participating in AIIMS counselling through AIQ counseling.
So last year this college was allotted upto Air 15564 for Gen category candidate in stray vaccancy round. So for EWS cut off may be also around this only. Marks at this rank will be around 610+. So if you want to get admitted in AIIMS jammu as EWS Candidates you must try to score 620+ marks for safe chances.
You can check details about jammu kashmir counselling from link below although you will be not able to get seat through AIQ in any government college there except AIIMS, jammu

Hi Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you, you should work hard and should focus on achieving high and high in entrance exam it totally depends upon the examination if paper is simple then cutoff goes high gradually and if paper or examination is hard then cutoff goes down. You should certainly work hard and should try to achieve high and high in examination.
Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.
All the best!
Hi aspirant,
Since you belong to Jammu and Kashmir, you need to select NO in the self declaration column of the application form. By selecting Yes, one declares that he/she is not eligible to get MBBS, MD and other medical seats in the institutions situated in the state of Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and leh.
Regarding the Self Declaration, NTA stated that, "There are following two kind of candidates submitting NEET application form some States which includes Jammu and Kashmir: a. Candidates originally from these States who are eligible for 100% seats of their States. These candidates are not required to fill the "Self Declaration". b. The candidates who are not from these states but residing there because of the posting of their parents, etc. These candidates are not eligible for the seats of J&K, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. These candidates are required to fill the "Self Declaration"."
Hope it helps!!
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing good. As per your question, I understand that you want to prepare for NEET 2022 while pursuing your BDS. So, yes, in NEET 2022, if your score is above the cutoff of the college of your choice, you will definitely get a seat into that college. In fact, this is a good strategy undertaken by most aspirants so that you're always on the safe side.
However, if you ask me personally, I wouldn't recommend this at all. The only reason for it is, NEET is a difficult exam and preparing for it whilst pursuing other courses may (evidently, will ) hamper your chances of scoring good.
However, this was just my outlook, there are a lot of aspirants who clear the exam, while pursuing a different course. Now, you need to analyze for yourself, what works for you the best.
Hope this helps and all the best for whichever decision you take.
