I want to apply for b.tech and b.arch course in JMI , so do i have to fill the registration form twice with each different ug course as I have appeared for both jee exams 2020 jee main paper 1 and jee main paper 2. please reply ASAP.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 12th Jul, 2020

Hello,

According to JMI Prospectus 2020-21 (page 35) http://jmicoe.in/pdf19/FINAL_JMI_PROSPECTUS_2020_NEW.pdf you need to fill two separate applications for two different courses. Multiple applications for the same course will be rejected but in your case you are applying for two different courses that is B.Tech and B.Arch so you need to fill two different application and pay the fee for both the applications individually. You need to register with two email IDs so that each application will be given unique application number.

Will I get any NIT with 88.913 percentile in jee main paper 1 (SC Category)?

iammohdshareef 27th May, 2020

If we calculate your rank with your percentile, it is approximately 96373. The formula is 100-your percentile*no.of candidates who wrote the exam/100. With this rank, it is difficult for a seat in NIT. You should score atleast 95 percentile and more. So you should write July session. To check what colleges you can get with this Rank, use our College predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor

whether the qualifying of jee main paper 1 is compulsory to write jee advanced for jee mains paper 2 .I have qualified in jee mains paper 2 and not in paper 1 can I write jee advanced for paper 2 ??

harsh Student Expert 21st May, 2020

Hello dear

J ee mains paper one is for admission in btech course in various esteem Institutes like NIT, IIIT s and other state College and private colleges. Once you qualify jee mains you will be eligible for jee advanced through which you can take admission in IIT s in btech course.

AAT Advanced is for admission in barch. in only two IITS and for taking this exam you must have to qualify the jee advanced and to give jee advanced you need to give jee mains paper 1.

While paper 2 is for barch. Course and B. Planning in various good institutes.

So definitely you need to qualify jee mains paper 1 to be eligible to jee advanced and than you have to qualify jee advanced to be eligible for AAT Advanced.

Good luck

How will lockdown affect CRL in JEE Main?

Aastha jain 12th May, 2020

The lockdown might have a big impact on CRL in JEE Mains, specially for those who do not have access to online coaching classes or study material. For these people their studies might have got disrupted to some extent. Feeling low during lockdown and not feeling like studying is only natural, and must have impacted everyone in general. However successful will be those people who get over the lockdown blues, and take this time as extra study hours in disguise. All the best!

my mains percentile is 99.1758034 and which rank can I get in EWS and in open

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 12th May, 2020

Rakesh, your rank would be approximately 7212 going by the formula 100-99.17*869010/100 where in 99.17 is your percentile and 869010 is the no.of Candidates who appeared for JEE Mains for January session. For example, if the Candidates appearing for July session go upto 12.00.000 then we use 1200000 instead of 869010. Now this is your All India Rank and we are yet to know the no.of Candidates qualified in EWS Category. But on a general note, your EWS Rank might be less than 1500-2000.
