The conducting body of IIt jam will release the eligibility criteria to specify the academic qualifications and other relevant requirements needed to appear in the national level entrance examination.
The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to sit in the examination.
Minimum of 55% or 5.5 cgpa scored in the examination or qualifying degree.

There is no much difference in the Bsc and BTech degree. In fact BTech degree covers most of the Bsc syllabus.
In order to get yourself started I will suggest you to first start solving the past year papers in order to see where you stand as well as to see or analyse the important part of the portion you are weak in and you need more practice.
Trust me Into Jam won't be a tough call for you if you have gone through your B-Tech degree seriously.

After the declaration of IIT JAM Result, the IISc Bangalore starts admission process for IITs and IISc. Candidates who qualify for the exam can get admission in these institutes through IIT JAM Counselling.
According to the official notification, the IISc Bangalore has extended the submission of IIT JAM Admission form from 20th May to #1st My 2021. Previously it was extended till 27Th May 2021.

If you select the first two, you'll have to pay the fees of Rs. 10,000 (General/OBC) and Rs. 5000 (SC/ST/PwD category) to confirm the seat booking.

Yes, the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM is to pass the graduation with 55% marks(5% relaxation in terms of reserve category) or 5.5( 5 CGPA for reserved category) CGPA on the scale of 10. If your pursuing B.SC in Forensic Science or Microbiology, you will still be eligible for IIT JAM, however, the course you will get into after qualifying IIT JAM may vary. So, as per the specializations offered under the IIT JAM, with B.SC Forensic Science/Microbiology, you will be eligible only for M.SC in Biotechnology.

Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances of getting seat in NIT or IIT in M.Sc Chemistry based on the previous year cut off. You have chances of getting seat in Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) for admission to M.Sc Chemistry the cut off was 4398 for OBC category. Cut off is subjected to change this year based on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
