BEd is compulsory for a career in teaching at school level, however in case of university teaching it isn't necessary, BEd along with master's degree will make you eligible for PGT if you appear for CTET or you can also consider state level TETs, you can choose to go ahead with BEd if not MSc if working is a priority for you, if you're interested in career in research or university level teaching then choose appearing for IIT JAM, after master's degree you can appear for CSIR NET and if you qualify JRF you will also receive stipend which is good enough for science stream candidates, and you can qualify for lectureship through NET or even SET which is conducted at state level and in both cases there is no upper age limit.
There is no age limit to appear for IIT JAM 2022 and there is no bar on the qualifying exam passing year so you can appear for IIT JAM 2022 provided you must have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA on 10 point scale if you belong to general/OBC category, if you belong to SC/ST category you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks or 5.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale from a recognized board.
