Jee advanced is getway for IITs in india. For writing advanced you first need to qualify jee mains.

Hello Hari,

To qualify for JEE Adcanced you need to secure a position in the top 2,24,000 candidates including all categories. The percentages of various categories are :

OBC-NCL 27%

SC 15%

ST 7.5%

Open 50.5%

Within each of these categories a 5% reservation is for PwD candidates.

It would be difficult to tell you the exact about the qualify marks as JEE Main is being conducted twice by NTA for the first time.

But based on this score you might be eligible for JEE Advance.

Cutoff of jee advance subject wise

The exam itself doesn't have separate cut offs for separate subjects. Subject wise cut off is found only in the cuts offs of the institutions or the IITs.

For 81.7 percentile you will have general rank around 200000. The NTA has not released cutoff for jee mains yet. But our experts have predicted that qualifying 85 for general. And also a poster released by IIT Roorkee informs that 220000 will be eligible to write jee advanced.
