in schedule of josaa, what is mock seat allocation and the dates for mock seat allocation 1 and 2 are 12 Oct and 14 Oct respectively , so can I fill the registration form on 12 Oct or after that but before 15 Oct ????

Ayush Pandey 7th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Mock seat allocation is just like the mock tests which you give before exam. It means that if that was the last day for locking the choices, the results of first round of counselling would have been like that.

You need to complete your registration and choice filling before 15Oct.

can I submit my SSC short memo for josaa 2020 because my long memo is in another college so it may take a while to get back it..

Mrinalini Sarkar 11th Nov, 2020

Hello,

I think  it is better to talk with the authorities and if they are willing to accept it then I must say you should submit it. But remember don't do anything without informing them because then you might not know what consequences might take place. You can ask for extension so that once you get it back you will be able to submit it.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

hi, i got seat in IIIT Bhubaneswar through JOSAA, and also want to apply in CSAB counselling for better college. Do i have to pay for my alloted inst now? and if i wont get seat in CSAB will i be able to get my current inst. and if i get in CSAB will my money be refunded(1st sem from current inst)?

Jay Singh 16th Nov, 2020

Hi. Congratulations on securing a seat in IIIT, BBSR. So coming back to the question, now you have to pay the fees for IIIT. Its termed as partial admission fees. If you want to apply for the CSAB counseling then don't fill the institute's registration form. Fill the CSAB form which will begin from tomorrow. And if you don't get a seat in spot round then your seat will still be there. Your allotted seat of IIIT will be cancelled if and only if you get a seat in CSAB counseling. The  money will be adjusted in the new college you get in through CSAB. Don't worry about it.

Hope this helps.

is there any chance in any college through josaa councelling if my percentile in jee mains is 62.18 from general ews category

ARYAN SAGAR 7th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

Josaa - joint seat allocation authority is responsible for giving admission in undergraduate courses in iits, iiits, nits, gftis.
This year the cutoff score set by nta in jee mains for general ews category was around 70 percentile.
So, as you got 62.18 percentile score in jee mains from ews category then you have not qualified the jee mains exam and hence you cannot get any seat in any nits , iiits, or gftis.
Even if you belong from home state quota still, got have no chance.

But you can participate in josaa counseling.
In josaa counseling anyone who has given jee mains 2020 are eligible to participate in josaa.
But you will not get any seat in josaa counseling.
But still it is advisable that you attend all the round of josaa counseling, and try your luck.
Because it's not like csab where you have to pay a participation fees of Rs.36500
So get registered yourself in josaa counseling though you will not get any seat in any college till last rounds.

Also check out our jee mains college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of the college that you can get on basis of your jee mains rank :-
