i got a rank of 1 lakh 10k in vit. can i get biomedical engineering at vit vellore or chennai?

Kumari Shivani 6th Aug, 2020
Hi,
As you would know that the exam was cancelled for VITEEE and the admission is given on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in Qualifying Exam (Class 12th Board Exam).
Based on your rank you can't get biomedical engineering because previous year cut off was 20000. It is almost impossible to get in if don't have any reservations.
It depends on the students response to colleges. A Ranklist is prepared based on marks of candidates in the qualifying exam.  VITEEE Cut off is the rank for admission to various engineering programs offered in the campuses of VIT University. Candidates who will score above closing rank will be considered eligible for admission. It must be noted that the University does not declare any official VITEEE Cutoff.

hi sir can you say me that btech- electronic and communication with specialisation in biomedical engineering and btech -computer science and engineering with specialisation in bioinformatics comes under which group ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 1st Aug, 2020

hi,

see generally most of the colleges do not have specialization course, however vellore institute of technology, lpu have specialized course, however if you look into iits or nits or other tier 1 colleges program structure there is no specialization includes , however btech in electronics and communication engineering with specialization of biomedical engineering would be awarded as b.tech in ece. as the same way b.tech in computer science and engineering with specialization of bio informatics would be awarded as b.tech in cse. here your main course decides your stream, not the specialization.

hope you may understand.
