i got 93% in pcm in my boards can i get industrial engineering or biomedical engineering in vit vellore

mjaisinghani62 11th Jul, 2020

Hi aspirant

You will be lucky to score such good score in board exams as entrance exam VITEEE are cancelled this year and admission to engineering courses will be based on xii board score. This is first time that Engineering admissions are given on the basis of xii score so it's difficult to estimate that how they will consider marks whether PCM score or maths marks will be the basis of Merit. Hence can't be said whether you will get biomedical engineering .

I completed Bsc in human genetics and molecular biology. I like jobs related to human genetics, reproductive Genetics, clinical genetics, cancer genetics, medical genetics and immunogenetics. What is a better option for me, MSc in molecular biology and Human Genetics OR MSc in biomedical genetics?

Disha Arora 9th Jul, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

The inter dependence of each is rather apparent as to understand genetics you need to understand molecular biology. At one end you have Proteins/Biochemistry and at the other end you have Genes.

If you look at the syllabus of each it would appear to us that the course in M.Sc Molecular Biology and Human Genetics will give you a deeper understanding of your interests.  We suggest you do the same and take a detailed look at the syllabus and finally make the choice as we think you need to look at it from a research point of view.

Good Luck
