The cut off for KEAM depends on a variety of factors.The cut off is different for different categories.According to last year results the closing rank for General category was 2199 after round 3 .If you keep your KEAM score above 400 you can easily get a rank below 2500.But

categorical reservation is only to help students with more college options by lowering the general rank. for admission into any college or university, you can use quota. after admission , there is no use of quota and all the facilities are same for everyone.

Definitely you can get the benefits of only one type of reservation you can get the benefits of both the reservation together. Since you are minority category then you are not supposed to get ews reservation as ews is economical weaker section that belongs to general category.
