i got 48 percentile in jee mains 2021 march attempt general catogery can i apply for JEE advanced?

Tanmay V 25th Jul, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

With all these past years of JEE Mains it has been observed that cutoff percentile to qualify for JEE Advanced  remains almost the same. For general category the cutoff is nearly 90 every year ,   so with this percentile you won't be able to qualify for JEE Advanced 2021. Try to score better in your next attempt of 4th session of JEE Mains 2021.

i got 53 percentile in jee mains sc catogery march attempt 2021 what is my category rank and can i apply for jee advanced?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 24th Jul, 2021

hi,

see as per careers360 jee main college predictor tools, your estimated overall probable rank would be 480810 - 540500 , now it is difficult to predict the category rank just based on percentile.  since it  depends on factors like number of applicant, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category , domicile etc.

last years to appear in  jee advance cutoff percentile of jee main  was as follows:

Common Rank List (CRL)   90.3765335

(EWS)  70.2435518

Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL)  72.8887969

Scheduled Caste (SC)  50.1760245

Scheduled Tribe (ST)  39.0696101

People with Disability (PwD) 0.0618524

so based on previous years data you have chances to appear in jee advance, but it may change from time to time. so follows the official sites for latest updates.

To know about complete list of probable college name, based on your score, category please use Careers360 college predictor tool,

can I take admission in jec Jabalpur by my jee mains result which is 47 percentile in march & Im a st category student ?

Harsha Sinha 2nd Sep, 2021

Hi there,

Although you belong to st category and with your percentile you may get a chance to appear in the advance examinations but your rank wouldn't be sufficient to confirme a seat at your proffered college. You might get a seat but it's not sure.

There are other colleges where you can get a seat you can use our college predictor tool to find out those colleges.

I wrote JEE mains examination in the month of February. I got my EWS certificate in march. I changed my category from general to EWS. Will it be accepted??

Anurag Khanna 24th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See if you have made correction in your application then why it would not be accepted. It would be accepted definitely. See if you have corrected your application form of JEE-Main 2021 during the correction window of March attempt then also it would be accepted and your category will be changed throughout JEE-Main 2021 so don't worry for it.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

I GOT 98.4 PERCETNILE IN JEE MAINS MARCH ATTEMPT AND I AM VERY LESS CONFIDENT FOR ADVANCED ,I HAVE GREAT DREAM TO GET UNDER 1000 AIR IN JEE ADV SO SHUD I TRY A LAST SHOT FOR JEE ADVANCECD OR TAKE A DROPAND START PREPARING FROM AUGUST ITSELF?(SINCE ONE DROPPERSBATCH IS STARTING ON UNACADEMY FROMAUG?

Anurag Khanna 22nd Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See don't lose hope, this is the very first thing which you should remember and your JEE-Main percentile is quite good because it can take you to good NITs with decent branches so I would recommend you to appear for JEE-Advance attempt and if this is your first attempt of JEE-Advance then you will have your second attempt of JEE-Advance so if due to any reason you cannot clear this attempt then you can definitely try for second attempt and even if this is your last attempt then also you should appear for it. Suppose you don't get any IIT due to any reason then also you have security of good NITs because on such percentile you can easily get good NITs and also NITs are not bad in fact NITs are also considered as premier engineering institutions.

So don't under estimate yourself and even if you don't appear for JEE-Advance this year and if this is your last attempt then you won't get another attempt so it is recommended that you should appear in JEE-Advance 2021.

Hey,

You cannot appear for NEET 2021 but can appear for NEET 2022. This is because for NEET 2021, you need to be of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2021. You as per this date, you will not be of 17 years. So, you cannot appear for NEET 2021. However, you are certainly eligible for NEET 2022 and can appear for it. Along with it, it is essential to have 50% aggregate marks in PCB, 45% in case of PWD and 40% for PBC/SC/ST.

Sir, I got 96.2068448 pr in JEE main March session 2021. what is my category rank. I am from sc category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Jul, 2021

Hi

With 96.2068448 percentile

Your sc rank will be around  1200.

With your rank you have very chances in NITs .

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,  1511 sc  rank for sc category for gender neutral   got a seat in computer science Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) in NIT Bhopal

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This has been predicted on the basis of past year data but  closing rank changes every year due to factors like number of students that appeared in the jee main, difficulty level of the paper for different shifts of jEE main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
