Greetings of the day dear Gurukiran
KCET is a state level examination, which will be organized for providing admissions in various engineering, pharmacy and other courses offered by different colleges in Karnataka state.
If you look at the exam pattern, it is designed to be Physics, Chemistry, Math/Biology. By examining, Math is not compulsory, as you know the exam is conducted for 180 marks with total marks of 60 for each subject, where you're provided with an either or between Math and Biology. Whereas Physics and Chemistry is compulsory for all the students. Incase you drop mathematics, you wont get Engineering rank and will not be eligible for admission into Engineering courses.
So, choose your strongest domain and start preparing to meet brighter times ahead.
Hope I've cleared all your queries!!
All the best for your future career
Hello student,
It is not possible to give 12th exam twice from the same board when you have already got passing marks. Only the students who fail, are allowed to re appear for 12th exams.
In order to repeat 12th, you have to opt for some other state board, do your 12th with mathematics and physics and then apply for NDA to get admission in merchant Navy. But remember the age limit for NDA to apply is 16.5 to 19.5. I hope you don't exceed the limit till then.
I hope this information helps you.
Here is all you need to know about NDA.

Hi Aspirant,
Since NIOS certificates are valid and equivalent to CBSE, ICSE and other State Boards. NIOS board is recognized by Central government and Ministry of HRD for secondary and higher secondary board of education. So there shouldn't be any problem regarding the eligibility and your studies from NIOS.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!!!
NIOS is the university run by the Indian Government by Minister of human resource development. If you have passed your 12th from other university/Board,not from NIOS,You are not allowed to give the exam of mathematics directly. If you want to give mathematics exam, you need to repeat class 11th again, after that you will be eligible to give mathematics exam from NIOS.But you can try in NIOS through demand examination policy. For this you have to register the form to apply for on-demand examination of mathematics through their website(www.nios.ac.in) or contacting NIOS offices.NiOS syllabus is large but conceptuality as compared to other boards,But their copy checking is very strict. It is not time consuming because you did not have to prepare for board examination. You just need to study 11th and optional module completely and just the concepts . Minimum 3 months are required for preparation of mathematics.
Since you have already passed your 12th with PCB . So, yes now you can give NIOS exam for Mathematics and be eligible for IMU CET and get admitted into various UG courses in IMU .

Hey,
The IMU STANDS FOR INDIAN MARITIME University. It conducts it's own common entrance exam and in order to take admission one needs to sit for the entrance.
Now as far as the eligibility is concerned they require students that they needs to have physics chemistry and maths in their class 12th.
If you will complete your maths from NIOS then I think you are good to go .
Below I have mentioned the link that contains detailed eligibility information about the exam.

Hi
I'm guessing that you are asking for reet for classes 1 to 5 because for classes 1 to 6 for reet the minimum qualification required is Graduation / bachelor's degree.
It is completely ok even if you have failed in maths in class 12 , what matters is that you are overall passed with the status pass in your result/marksheet. Now that , your result status is pass there will be no problem and you are eligible for REET provided you fulfill its raised to the eligibility criteria
For example,
To be eligible for reet for class 1 to 5 , as per one of the criteria, one needs to have at least 50% marks in 12th and should have either passed or should be appearing for the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. So, if you meet this criteria then you are eligible for REET.
To get the complete eligibility criteria used in visit our page the link for the same is provided below
