Hello aspirant,
Congratulations for the good results and hope you are doing well. NIT are the second topmost government colleges in India and many students wants to get admission in this college's but only few could go there. The cutoff for the NIT Bhopal goes usually high as it is a very good and old NIT. But if we go through the last year cutoff there are very less chances of you getting admission in this college. Also in special round it depends on luck and many other factors which can not be predicted.if you want to see the last year cutoff for NIT Bhopal go on

Hey!
Hope you are doing well.
Your son got 97.3 percentile score in JEE Main. Accordingly, his rank must be around 25-30k.
You can check NIT Bhopal (MANIT) cutoff for year 2018 for all branches here:
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-manit-bhopal
If you visit the above link, you can clearly see that chances of your son getting into MANIT Bhopal with Computer Science, ECE,Electrical, or Civil as branch are very less.
But he might get branches like Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering etc.
By the way, I am considering that your son is a general candidate. The results are according to that.
Good luck!
Hello Vikas,
Based on this rank the chances are less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs. However you can check your other admission possibilities in state level counselling with JEE Main college Predictor tool to mention your Overall rank there.

Good Luck!
To get admission in IIT you need to clear jee advance and also score good enough to get IITs as their cutoffs are high. Moreover you may get NIT bhopal with this rank but you can't get top branches like cse, ece ece as their cutoffs are lower than 6k for general category. But you can easily get branches like civil, mechanical, chemical and mechanical.
Due to the fact that ews category is implemented from this year only so it is difficult to give exact cutoffs for them but we can refer to previous year cutoffs of general category and can give a rough estimation.
You can predict what colleges you may get with this rank by going through the link of college predictor tool given below.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
Hey Nishita,
You can check JEE Main 2019 official cutoff based on Paper-1 here:
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff
From the above data, it can be figured out that unfortunately you did not qualify for JEE Advanced 2019. But no need to worry. There are still hundreds of colleges waiting for you.
Let's come back to your query regarding MANIT Bhopal. Your General rank (AIR) will be around 3-4 lakhs.
You can check last year's OR and CR for NITs here:
https://d2cyt36b7wnvt9.cloudfront.net/exams/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/02163624/nit-cutoff-2018-r1.pdf
Referring to previous years cut-off trends for NIT's, I can say that it is unlikely for you to get MANIT Bhopal considering ideal cases.
But wait! Don't loose hope. You can still get good government colleges in MP.
Along with JoSaa counselling, you should apply for MP-BE counselling as well. MP-BE counselling covers other government and private colleges of MP like (SGSITS etc.)
So, do not run behind one college and apply for both the counselling and surely you will get best college according to your score.
