Hello everyone I have a question regarding my MBA. I have completed my graduation in B. Com business analytics. I spoke with a lot of MBA students all they say is that an MBA is a waste of time if you arent from a Bschool. I have no budget to go in any B school. What are your thoughts on pursuing MBA from a normal recognized college.

Yash Teotia 18th Aug, 2025

Hello Neha

Going for a MBA from a regular recognized college which is not a Top B-school is one's own choice made upon his/her career goals and future aspirations.

Honestly speaking, there is very less scope of a good placement after B.Com (//B.Com) (exceptions of top college like Shaheed Sukhdev). If you wish to enter the corporate world, you will either need to go for a MBA or have to hone your skills up to a certain level which is required.

Moreover, you can prepare for CAT and if all goes well, join institutes like FMS who have their average fees of 3 Lakh for the whole 2 year MBA while giving a great package of 30 LPA.

The choice is yours. Thank You!!!

It's possible for you to pursue an MBA in hospital management in India even if you haven't passed the FMGE exam. To apply for this program, you need to identify colleges that offer this course, and often they require exams like the CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT, and sometimes private colleges directly give you admission.

when will be start admission for MBA 2025.please update on urgent basis

Nikita shahi 24th Aug, 2025

Hello,

MBA admissions for the 2025 session will begin soon after the results of entrance exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, MAT, and CMAT are declared. Usually, the admission process starts from January 2025 and continues till May or June 2025, depending on the college. National-level institutes like IIMs begin their selection early, while private colleges and state universities continue their admission process till mid-year. Therefore, you should keep checking the official websites of the colleges where you want to apply, as each one releases its own admission schedule.

Thank you!

I didnt pass FMGE, can I do MBA in Hospital Management?

Babita Rawat 14th Aug, 2025

Yes, you can completely do MBA in Hospital Management. As FMGE is a licensing exam that is for foreign Medical graduates must need to pass to practice medicine in India.

MBA in Hospital Management is a management degree, not a medical practice licence. For pursuing this course you just need a bachelor's degree in any field with minimum marks 50% above in most Universities.

Considering Ive been allotted S.B. Patil Institute of Management for MBA in CAP 2 with 88% as an SEBC OHU candidate, and my preference is limited to Pune colleges, is accepting this admission the best decision for me?

gopi 12th Aug, 2025

Hello Akshay,

If you want an MBA college in Pune and have been allotted S.B. Patil Institute of Management in CAP Round 2 with 88%, as a SEBC OHU candidate, this is a good option to take if you care about location and timeliness more than waiting for subsequent rounds. If you are looking for higher-ranked Pune institutes (PUMBA, Indira, MIT-WPU) and are willing to take a chance, you can wait for CAP Round 3.

I am doing MBA Finance. Am I eligible for UGC Net Commerce subject?

Anannya sarma 12th Aug, 2025

If your MBA (Finance) is from an accredited university and you have at least 55% of the possible points (or 50% for reserved categories), you can take the UGC NET in Commerce.
Your MBA in finance is relevant because UGC NET Commerce covers business, accounting, finance, economics, and management topics.
If you are well-versed in the fundamentals of commerce, pick commerce.

As an alternative, you can choose UGC NET Management, which is closely related to MBA courses.
Your subject-matter expertise and career objectives should guide your decision.
