Can you tell me in mbbs state counselling in odisha is there reservation for sebc?

kumardurgesh1802 18th May, 2025

Hello there,

As of the 2024–25 academic session, Odisha does not provide reservation for Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) in MBBS admissions through state counselling. The recently approved 11.25% SEBC reservation in higher education specifically excludes professional courses such as medicine and engineering.

For MBBS admissions under the Odisha state quota, the current reservation categories include:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC) : 16.25%

  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 22.5%

  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) : 5%

  • Ex-Servicemen : 1%

If you belong to the SEBC category, you would be considered under the Unreserved (UR) category for MBBS counselling in Odisha. However, SEBC certificates may still be required for other purposes, such as fee concessions or eligibility in non-professional courses .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Can I get Aiims delhi with MBBS course in 2025 my expected score for neet 2025 is 105 and my category is OBC-PWD

kumardurgesh1802 18th May, 2025

Hello Sakshi,

With an expected NEET 2025 score of 105 and belonging to the OBC-PwD category, securing admission to AIIMS Delhi for the MBBS program is highly unlikely.

NEET Cutoff Insights:

  • Qualifying Marks for OBC-PwD : In NEET 2024, the qualifying score for OBC-PwD candidates ranged between 143 and 127 .

  • AIIMS Delhi Cutoffs : Historically, AIIMS Delhi has had very high cutoff scores across all categories. For instance, in 2024, the closing NEET score for OBC candidates was around 690–700 marks .

    Alternative Options:

Given your score and category, consider the following steps:

  1. State Medical Colleges : Explore MBBS seats in state medical colleges where the cutoff scores might be lower for OBC-PwD candidates.

  2. Private Medical Colleges : Some private institutions may have seats available for your category and score range.

  3. Allied Health Sciences : Consider pursuing courses in allied health sciences, such as B.Sc. Nursing, Physiotherapy, or Medical Lab Technology, which have different admission criteria and can lead to rewarding careers in healthcare.

  4. Preparation for Next Attempt : If becoming a doctor is your primary goal, you might consider dedicating another year to prepare for NEET, aiming to improve your score significantly.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Which MBBS government medical college can I get with 341 marks in Neet 2025 ??

kumardurgesh1802 18th May, 2025

Hello there,

With 341 marks in NEET 2025, getting a seat in a government MBBS college under the All India Quota (General category) is unlikely, as the cutoff is usually much higher (above 600). However, if you belong to a reserved category or your state has lower cutoffs, you might get a chance in some state quota seats.

You can also consider private medical colleges, dental courses (BDS), or other allied health programs like BAMS or BHMS, which have lower cutoffs.

I would recommend you to use the NEET College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

who is competent authority to give MBBS gap certificate

Saurabh Yadav 17th May, 2025

Hii,

The medical college or university where you are enrolled is typically the appropriate authority to issue an MBBS gap certificate. This certificate may occasionally be issued by the college's dean, principal, or registrar.

The state government's medical education department can also assist if necessary. To find out the precise procedure, you should first contact your college office.

I am st category candidate I have 120 marks in neet exam can I got admission for mbbs in government medical college

gopi 17th May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

The opportunities for MBBS admission at government medical colleges will depend on various factors including your NEET score, category and cut off scores for that year and state. Lower cut off scores for ST category will improve your chances. If you have a NEET score of 120, you may find it to be very difficult but still not impossible to secure a place at a government medical college, since it will depend on the state quota and number of seats available. You should check if you can find previous years cut off trends for ST candidates in your state or participating states from the official counselling authorities.

You can also consider exploring the state quota seats, management quota or medical colleges, as an alternative options.
