Hi All How many governament college seats are there in NEET MDS and what is the tentative minimum rank/mds score one should score to get through?

suchayitaanusaha 21st May, 2021

Hello,

NEET MDS is the entrance examination for masters of dental medicine and surgery. So the total marks of NEET MDS is 960. Minimum 50 percentage is quality number for general category student , 2021 the cutoff 259 general category and 227 for reserved category candidates.

So if you want to join government medical college or government dental college then you have to get good marks. Because seats are very less. Your rank should be under 700 to 800. Then you will get government college.

All the best.

i want to do MDS, so cet entrance exam is enough for admission in private colleges.. or i have to qualify neet exam,

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Jun, 2021

Hi

First of all,  through NEET one cannot get into MDS i. e Master of Dental Surgery as it is a master course but through neet admission in undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS is provided. For MDS one needs to clear entrance examination like NEET MDS entrance examination, INI - CET conducted by Aiims etc.

Secondly,

Your profile suggests that you are in class 12th right now, so in order to pursue MDS, you need to do BDS first.

And it is mandatory to qualify neet to get into BDS.

So you need to appear in neet.

As per, Neet 2021 eligibility criteria to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021

* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

So, if you fulfill these, you can appear in neet and after qualifying it you can get into Bds and after bds you can get into mds through NEET MDS entrance examination, INI - CET conducted by Aiims etc.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

Souhrid Sarkar 2nd Apr, 2021
Hello Shireesha,

Sorry to hear that but as you have generated a RUC,so you cannot generate a new RUC for that same application .Instead, you can register freshly (during basic registration ) or contact their helpdesk at aiims.pgexams@gmail.com and see if they can help you with this. Note that : No change can be made during the final registration.

Try reaching to them as early as possible.Don't panic you will surely find a way out.

I have created examion unique code in Inicet application form for MDS instead of MD/MS. now the code cant be genrated again.... I am very anxious.. what should I do now????

Atif Ali 31st Mar, 2021

Hello,

There is a chance that you can still change your course. Try to make correction in your form and if it's not possible to make correction regarding the selected course you can do these things-

1. Wait for the approval of your form

2. By April 19, 2021 you will get to know that on what date you can see your final status of your basic form details.

3. If it has been approved then you can change these things-

Course applied for (I think this is your case)

Qualifying Exam Details

Academics details

Internship Details

Medical Registration details

I hope you have understood finally.

Good Luck.
