10th,12th marks matter during mtech placement??

kartikjain2548 Student Expert 10th Aug, 2019

Hello,

Yes 10th and 12th marks matter in campus placements. They are used for eligiblity purpose. Many companies now a days only allow students who have more than 60-65%(depends on company) to sit in placements.

With this marks you have less chances of campus placements. But you can apply for off-campus placements as many companies does not take into into consideration 10th marks.

What is Disadvantages of BTech(ECE) Year..present Mtech CSE At IITs what effects in Mtech placements like Google,Amazone like companies?

Sumit_1492180752 Student Expert 10th Aug, 2019

Hello

First of all there are no disadvantages although it is advisable that you should not change your stream in MTech but that dosent affect anything. You can always go for coding there are no restrictions and if your skills are good companies like Google,Microsoft would accept you anyway.

Also these companies dont only look for CSE Grads they look for other streams too. So go for it if you like that field, you know you can excel at it.

Hope it helps.

How do I fill Educational details in my Cat Application form? I am in Final year of Integrated M.Tech. Please dont give general answers.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Aug, 2019
Dear Shiva, unfortunately, we cannot share images here. But if you are studying Integrated M.Tech, then it is B.Tech+ M.Tech or Graduation + M.Tech. You will have to fill in the details according to your University regulations. For example, if your University considers the first 3 years as Graduation and the next 2 years as Masters, your first 3 years details will go under Bachelor's degree details and the next 2 will go under Master's degree details. If its 3.5 and 1.5 according to your University, you should enter those details accordingly.

You will enter yes for final year of Masters, Semester no# will be 3 or 4 according to the University norms.
